But before we get into that, I want to, I want you to imagine this. So you're suffering an acute mental health crisis, one requiring

hospitalisation, your incomplete despair, and in perhaps the most vulnerable position of your life.

But instead of being put into the care of the NHS, you end up in the hands of a for-profit private company.

You're hoping for compassionate and effective treatment to help return you to your former self.

But instead, you get this.

I received no treatment whatsoever.

From the minute I was brought to the ward to the moment I left, I received no talking

therapy.

It was like a holding cell.

I was sedated on a whole cocktail of medication where I had no say in what I was taking.

Those are the words of Hannah, who was admitted to a Priory

Group Hospital when she was 22 while in the throes of a psychotic episode. And that's just some

of the testimony included in this investigation into alleged mistreatment of mental health patients

by staff at corporate healthcare provider Priory Group's hospitals,

Now, that wasn't Hannah's first experience with the private health care provider.
