Today's my fourth day to be teaching on excellence.

How to have an excellent spirit.

I've used two verses in the book of Daniel where it says that

Daniel was promoted because there was an excellent spirit in him and even

though that exact phrase is not used, this same thing is true of his three friends

Shadrack, Meshach and Abednygo.

They were taken captive when Jerusalem was conquered by Nebuchaneseer.

They saw probably many of their friends and family killed.

At the very least, they were separated from their family

and they were taken captive to Babylonian.

They were made eunuchs.

And it was just a terrible situation that probably is worse than any situation of any person that is watching this program.

And yet I meet so many people today that have just lost hope and they feel well I can't prosper because and then they list certain things that they live in a certain country and they just don't have the same opportunities that we have in the United States or it's because of your gender or the color of your skin or your lack of education and on and on and on and on the list goes.

But Daniel and his friends, man, they were in a terrible situation where they had been conquered,

they were a conquered people, their whole nation had been destroyed, people that they loved,

killed, they were taken captive, taken to a foreign land, they would never see their home again,

they were made eunuchs and on and on it goes, and yet these people had an excellent spirit

and they were still believing God knowing that they had a purpose.
