As I imagine is the case for many, there was a point soon after I started home brewing,

where I told myself and my wife that making my own beer was a good thing, not only because it

provided me with something fun to do, but that it was cheaper than buying beer at the store.

On the surface, this was mostly true. I mean, I could knock out a five-gallon or 19-liter batch of
