I'm Pastor Mike Winger and this is Bible Thinker the program dedicated to thinking

biblically about everything. In our ongoing series looking at how to find Jesus

in the Old Testament we're usually looking at how to find Jesus in the Old Testament. We're usually looking at

pictures and types of Christ, but today it's a little bit different.

Today's a little different. We'll get back onto pictures next time, but today we're

going to look at Jesus in the Old Testament in a more literal way like Jesus in the Old Testament

So we're talking about like a Christophony or a Theophony that I'll I will say I'm going to suggest this I have reasons to think is Christ in the

Old Testament a pre- incarnate appearance of Jesus and if you have questions

about how that could be that would be last last week's video or last time's message and

I'll put a link in the video description on that for anybody who needs it. Some of

these passages are more clear than others and I'm going to kind of showcase that

tonight as we go through

different passages I'll be like this one seems pretty clearly this is a Theophany God definitely

appears here I'm not sure we have some clues but could go either way so I just want us to learn the ability to

evaluate the text and not overstate our position and kind of have like sort of a conservative

approach to how we get our theology.

And we don't have to agree on this.

And if you guys disagree with me on these things,

I hopefully you've learned this by now Sunday night.

It's like, I not only am not bothered if you disagree with me. I'm actually interested in hearing why and hearing what your opinion is.

This is a healthy thing that we have core issues we hold to and we do agree on these and then we have a lot of other things we can discuss and

go I wonder about that and disagree and it's a healthy good thing for us so
