So today, what I thought I would do is share how it is you could make money just talking.

Obviously, I'm oversimplifying it.

A lot of people wonder if it's too late to get into this, whether it's YouTube or podcasting, how do you make money at it? And what does that look like for

Shaline? Obviously, when you get into it, when you start, how big your audiences before you start,

all of those things impact what it's going to look like, Your strategy, how quickly you're going to go from

having the idea, buying a microphone, recording, uploading, and launching your podcast to actually

making money. And it should be of interest to a lot of you because you have a lot to share and you

have a lot of experiences. I think this is where content is headed. No, I don't think

it's oversaturated. I do think, however, a lot of people go into it without really understanding

the strategy. What's your goal? Why do you want to do this? It feels so overwhelming and it also

probably feels like there's so many people doing it

and you just don't know how to make money at it. So I thought I would break it all down and how

much time it takes, how much time goes into the production of it, the strategy of it, how I get

paid, because it has evolved a lot since I started, which I believe was in

2012. So in 2012 was when I launched my podcast, and I did so because other people were doing

podcast, because I was listening to podcasts. And I was like, I like this. I was using podcasts

for personal development. I pretty quickly realized I was learning more in the podcast that I was listening to on a regular basis about personal development and business development than I ever did in school. I liked both of those things. At that time, I wasn't listening to any entertainment podcast. I wasn't listening to podcasts where people are just like shooting the shit,

which is what I sometimes do on Wednesdays. And so I launched two podcasts at the same time.

One was called Build Your Tribe. And there, I would talk just about business-related things.

And then the Shaline show, I've always reserved for just lifestyle content, I guess, is what you call it.

But the niche of the lifestyle content has always been kind of centered around whatever age I'm at, whatever season I'm in. And because I've been doing
