yeah and i'm sure the the audience that's are watching on youtube and spotify they're going to be

like how did this woman end up going to prison you could be a bit like someone's mom you know you know? I am someone's mom. I know, but like just sitting across, I don't know, so many of the guests that come on, you look at them and you're like, how do they go to prison? I guess that's what people say about me though, too. It's probably the most common thing that I've heard from people and you know they're like because I mean part of being a

felon is now you have this scarlet letter on your chest or on your forehead and for the rest of your life

you're going to have that label and people are going to assume things about you based on that label

you're not trustworthy maybe you're're dangerous, et cetera, et

et cetera. And that's why I've tried to make a point of having people get to know me first as a

person before I share that part of my, you know, my identity with them.

And the good thing is most of the time once people get to know me as a person,

when they do find out, they're shocked.

And even the people who I meet coming into it, like my probation officer or in the,

they very quickly start to be like yeah yeah it's like this

disconnection like well you're not who this identity says you are i've been working a lot in

the last year in voter registration and uh one of the women that i've been working with quite a bit. It's kind of funny,

actually. She was like, hey, we're doing a big voter registration drive at this gun show that's

going on. And I really need help. I really need volunteers. And I'm short because we've got,

it was, you know, we've got four different county fairs going on

everybody spread thin I really need people and she asked me like three separate times hey can you

come and help me at this show and I and both every time I'd say no sorry I can't and she's like
