Summary

On February 28, 2011, 24-year-old Shelley Mook dropped her 6-year-old daughter Lilli off at her ex-husband Tyler Mook’s house. Shelley allegedly stayed for an hour and then left to run some errands. However, she never returned. Her car was later found abandoned and burned in a field nearby. Her ex Tyler already had a history of violence against Shelley, but has never been charged with possibly murdering or abducting her.

If you have any information on Shelley’s disappearance, please contact the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation at 1-800-824-3463.

Hello everyone and welcome back to another episode of True Crime with Kendall Ray. Thank you so much for joining me today. And if you're new to this show, welcome. I'm so happy to have you here. So you guys, today we are jumping into a case that I think you will all agree. in fact, I know you will all agree, should absolutely

0:21.6

have a conclusion by now. It's been over a decade at this point without any justice, without any

0:29.2

answers. Today I'm going to be telling you about the disappearance of Shelly Mook, a young mother

0:33.9

who was navigating a divorce, she was a teacher and she was also raising her young

0:39.0

daughter. And everything about her case is so incredibly frustrating and sad. And I just wish so

0:47.1

badly that there were, you know, some answers or some kind of justice for Shelly's loved ones,

0:53.9

especially for her daughter.

0:55.9

And her story is also one that hasn't gotten much coverage, and I really haven't seen

1:01.6

anyone talk about it in the last couple of years. So I'm hopeful that by sharing her case today,

1:07.5

we can maybe kind of get her name back out there. I know from my experiences,

1:12.8

working with families and talking to them, that oftentimes it can feel like people have

1:17.7

forgotten about the victim when no one's talking about it anymore. And I can see how you would

1:22.6

totally feel like that. And I don't want that to be the case for Shelly. We have also reached out

1:27.3

to Shelly's

1:27.6

family to see if they're interested in a Hope grant through my foundation, hire Hope,

1:31.6

see if there's, you know, any way that they can think of that we can support them. All right,

1:36.2

let's go ahead and get into Shelley's disappearance. And before I start, this is one of those cases

1:41.6

where I have to tell you that everyone I speak about today is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, which probably tells you the direction that this is going to be going and makes it incredibly frustrating.

1:56.1

So just buckle in for that.

1:58.1

And, you know, it's just so hard with Shelly because we're talking about someone who

2:02.5

really only wanted to make the world a better place, was trying to make a difference, and while

2:07.8

doing so, she seemingly just vanished. Shelly Lynn Jones was born on June 29, 1987, and she was
