Summary

Picking right up where I left you all last week and my return to the stage, this episode is coming to you live from Sacramento moments before my competition! "I chose to be the crazy person to believe in myself" is my continued mindset during my journey to Olympia. Specifically on this episode, I want to share three key areas that have brought tremendous value to my life lately and can no doubt help you and your outlook on any goal you are pursuing right now; three ways to lose like a champion.

Hello, hello, and welcome to the Evolve with Emily Show. I am your host, Emily Hayden,

0:16.7

and I am currently in a hotel room in Sacramento, and I'm actually recording this podcast on my phone using my headphone plug-in.

0:26.0

So if the quality is a little less than normal, then you know what?

0:29.4

You're just going to have to deal with it because that's how the podcast is getting out today.

0:33.6

I flew here and forgot my podcast equipment.

0:36.7

So we're just having to make do with what we have.

0:39.9

So last we left off, if you guys listened to the last episode, we talked about being crazy enough to believe in yourself for the biggest things.

0:48.4

Like just to be that crazy person that believes that they can achieve, whatever it is that they want to achieve.

0:55.5

And I left you guys as I was actually flying to my first competition in two years, which was the Portland Classic. It was my

1:03.8

18th show that I've done. So I've been around the block once or twice, but it was basically my debut

1:10.0

back to the stage after

1:11.1

taking a long time off. And I told you guys how I, everything that I've been doing is aligning my

1:17.4

life with this ultimate dream and goal that I have for myself of one day being Miss Bikini

1:21.8

Olympia. And, you know, there's so many steps that have to happen before I ever even get close to that step.

1:28.2

And one of those first steps was making my debut back to the stage.

1:33.0

And in preparation for this show, I explained how everything that I did was with that first place in mind.

1:42.1

And it's because I think that if you're going after something, what's the

1:47.0

point of going after it if you don't believe that you can go for the number one spot? What's the

1:51.8

point of going after it if you're just going to halfway believe in yourself? So I chose to be the

1:58.1

crazy person to believe in themselves that they can do it.

2:01.0

And I told you guys, like, I truly do believe that this is my time.

2:04.2

I do believe that this will and can happen for me.
