Hey, it's your girl, Simply Shanika, and you are now listening to The Goddess Confessions. the goddess confessions. You can never love anybody if you're unable to love yourself. We oftentimes wonder why we don't have healthy relationships, and some of that may stem from childhood issues

but when we become adults it's our responsibility to change that narrative.

If you want healthy relationships, you have to have a healthy relationship with yourself.

That's the only way that things will start to flourish in your life.

At some point we have to stop being the victim and start being a winner.

It's more fun on the winter side. But seriously, there's no fun in playing

the victim for eternity. At what point are we going to heal those things that are holding us back and move forward to the right direction?

Healing is not easy. It's a process. It's a process.

a journey.

There is no specific destination for it.

You literally take on that journey

and you continue for the rest of your life.

Self-love is the foundation of our loving practice.

When we give ourselves the love we deserve, we provide our inner being with the opportunity

to have the unconditional love we may have always long to receive from someone else.

But the thing is,

we can't put our happiness in the hands of someone else.

It's our responsibility to make ourselves happy first and whoever comes along simply adds to the happiness.

So the question is how do you do that? Where do you begin? Well, I know where I need to begin,

or where I needed to begin. So you have to figure that out for yourself.

Where are the areas in your life where you feel like you're struggling?

And that's where you have to start. And like I said before, it's a journey. It's not a destination.
