just outside Aylesbury for a discussion between a the atheist and an atheist on the problem of

suffering and pain. Suffering the great equalizer, the great universal experience of humanity.

All of us have suffered. All of us are probably suffering in some way,

shape or form right now, and all of us have suffering to look forward to. Every single one of us

will die. And so we're asking the question, how do we make sense of both the intellectual

problem of pain and suffering, but also the felt reality, the why of suffering.

And that's what we're going to get into today with two amazing guests.

To my left, I have Alonzo Paul from Oxford University.

He is doing his PhD in philosophy of religion on the problem of obscene and seemingly meaningless suffering. So horrendous evil.
