I'd like to begin tonight's journey with Frank, and Frank had this to say. Hi, Nick, I love your podcast. I am a scientist and I'm

skeptical about many paranormal phenomena. I have a PhD in biology, and I have seen things that

might seem unnatural or paranormal,

but which have perfectly biological explanations.

However, as any scientist can tell you,

the amount of knowledge humankind has gathered over the past couple of thousand years

is only a fraction of what is still to be known,

so it's inevitable that people experience phenomena where

no scientific explanation exists today. I have three experiences to share with you that I cannot

explain myself. My first experience is called astral projection. It happened around the beginning

of the 90s.

I was about 17 or 18 years old and traveling around with a group of friends in Scotland.

The weather was unusually hot for Scottish conditions.

Because of the warm weather, we were walking around in nothing but shorts for several days.

One night I was sleeping in my tent and dreamt that I was standing in

front of the back door of my home in the Netherlands. The dream was incredibly realistic. It was also

very hot in my own country at that time, and I remember feeling the warm, moist air in the garden.
