Right to police officers testified in Johnny Depp's civil defamation trial against his ex-wife

Amber Hurd that they didn't think she was a victim of domestic violence when they responded

to a fight the couple had back in 2016.

So officer William Gatlin, who did a follow-up visit after the fight, said he didn't notice

any injuries on Amber, but added that his meeting with her was brief and from a short distance.

And then officer Tyler Haddon, who responded to the original call, testified he didn't notice

any injuries to Amber either, but believed she had been crying because she was red faced.

Now her attorneys have suggested that she could have covered up alleged bruises with

makeup, but that is yet to be proven.

And these two officers that testified yesterday, this follows up the videotape deposition of

another LA police officer Melissa Sayens, who said she also did not identify Amber as

a victim of domestic violence.

Kristen and I were talking after the show yesterday and I was honest with her and I said,

this story of Johnny Depp and Amber, it is hard for me to comment on because the voyeuristic,

what's the word I'm looking for, a voyeuristic kind of complexity to it of watching or hearing

a marriage completely destruct and listen to two people that really have destroyed each

other over the years.

It's so hard for me to listen, I don't know these people, but I know plenty of people
