Summary

In meditation, there’s a quality called “beginner’s mind,” which means dropping your expectations and preconceived ideas about something and approaching it with an open mind — a beginner’s mind. Hey everyone, it's K-Sunga here. I just want to let you know that we've launched a brand

new call and advice podcast called Dear Headspace. Each week the headspace teachers, along

life, mindfulness, and just about everything else. It's so different from anything we've

0:27.5

ever created and we're so excited for you to hear it. Dear Headspace comes out every

Hi, it's Eve here. Welcome to Radio Headspace and to Tuesday. Have you ever heard the

1:06.4

2:00.2

we often talk about a quality called beginner's mind. This is about dropping our expectations

2:07.4

and preconceived ideas about something and seeing things with an open mind, fresh eyes,

2:14.4

2:23.6

we know block us from seeing things as they really are. And it can then mean we take

2:30.1

a lot of what happens around us for granted. The quality of beginner's mind is an invitation

2:37.7

to be more receptive to new possibilities, reminding ourselves that we actually don't

2:44.3

know as much as we think we do. And that is totally okay. But more than that, if we are
