OPEC is cutting crude oil production, which will raise prices in Saudi Arabia says.

It is the US fault for trying to lower prices by releasing oil from its strategic reserves.

Their finance minister came out and said that the US would almost rue the day.

But basically by manipulating markets, he said something the effect of no good comes from manipulating oil markets around the globe.

And this might be that no good.

This is the Fox News rundown evening edition.

Over the weekend, a number of member states of OPEC, the mid-eastern cartel of oil producing nations,

decided to start cutting back on production.

Overall, the consortium will produce about 1.15 million fewer barrels of crude oil each day.

And they will keep to that amount until at least the years end.

It will result in a sharp rise in consumer fuel prices from gasoline to heating oil and other things.

And it is a shock, especially at a time when the US production of oil is low.

And the Biden administration has not been successful in getting increased productions from places like Saudi Arabia,

with whom their relationship isn't great, and because Russia's economy is being kept afloat by oil deals with China.
