Well, sometimes you might hear a younger couple being advised not move too fast, slow things down, and that's probably because we all have some mistakes in our past

when we were dating and we want to help others. Well I'm John Fuller along with

Dr. Greg Smalley and his wife Aaron they lead the focus marriage

department and Aaron as a counselor, how have you seen

maybe a couple moves so fast that they find themselves in the relationship but kind of feeling

like whoops, would we do? You You know people will often ask the question is there a

set amount of time that a couple should date before they get married and there

really isn't an answer.

in a perfect scenario it would be through every season so you go through fall, winter, spring, and summer and just experiencing each

other in every season, which really means you're going to experience, you know, seasons of

challenge, you're going to have conflict, you're going to have conflict you're going to have

opportunities to handle each other's hearts during tender times so it's just doing that so you have the experience and then you can make an educated decision of

Am I are we moving forward? But everyone will always say you know my parents got married and they dated for five weeks and they've been

married for 45 years. So again, I don't know that there is a perfect amount of time but I do absolutely think in wisdom it is you

know really getting to experience each other in many seasons and bring others

in yeah it asks others like what do you think about our relationship?

Bring your pastor and bring your mentors in, bring your parents in.
