Hey everybody Rob Mauer here and today we are going to be talking about an interesting

new proposal from the Department of Energy in the United States that could have a pretty

significant impact on electric vehicles.

We've also got some interesting news on Tesla's Megapack and updates on Tesla in China as

well as actually quite a few other stories despite it kind of feeling like a little bit

quieter of a news day today.

Alright we're getting at the stock Tesla today up 1.25% to close at $186.79 while the

NASDAQ was down 4% of a percent on the day so nice to see that out performance from

Tesla, nice to see a green day after I think pretty much a week straight of Tesla finishing

in the red.

So nice to see that on the day today.

We didn't get an SEC filing from Tesla today after market closed.

This is a disclosure of options and shares for Tom Zoo of course we talked about yesterday

has just been added to Tesla's official leadership team and it goes through just the

stock options that he has available to a couple of million shares here.

So definitely nice nice cut for Tom walking through a sort of the options and how they've

been earned.

Most of these have already been earned in the past.

They become exercisable over basically on a monthly basis over the next four to five

years expiring in 2029 or 2028 through 2030 but a couple of million shares there.

So the equivalent of around $350, $400 million or so excluding the exercise price which

obviously would have some some cost for exercise at that point.
