Let's turn back over to the book of Romans.

I started sharing out of Romans in two sessions.

I covered down to Romans chapter 3, verse 24.

And I hadn't got time to go back and rehash what I've already shared, but this is talking about the gospel being the power of God.

And basically I think you could say it this way that the gospel isn't just information that

Jesus died for our sins.

Even to say that God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son

is not the gospel specifically.

The gospel is talking more about all right now God

provided salvation God forgave our sins but what's this going to cost me

what do I have to do to get this? And I think that you can be more

specific about what the gospel is by saying it's emphasizing at what cost does all of this come.

Like I use this example that if you said you were going to give somebody a million

pounds, but they had to do this and this and this and this and live holy for a year in order

to get it, that would be no gospel at all.

The church has basically said, sure Jesus died for our sins.

Sure Jesus came to the earth, but then they've attached to it that in order for you to get

this, you have to live
