Let's turn to Romans chapter one.

This week I think I have four sessions with you during the week and I am going to be sharing Romans 1 through 8, kind of a summary of this.

And the Lord spoke to me back in the very beginning of my Christian life.

I heard a man say this, and God just took this and spoke it to me, that if I could ever

understand the first eight chapters of the book of Romans,

that it would just radically change my Christian life.

And so I took that as a challenge from God,

and I bet you that it was 15 years of studying Romans before I felt

like I began to understand. I'm still not saying I've got it all figured out, but Romans has become one of my favorite

passages of scripture and it took at least 15 years to begin to get a revelation of this.

And I believe that this is the heart of the gospel. This is the heart of the revelation that Paul

gave. Paul of course is the one that wrote the book of Romans and I believe that

this is his masterpiece on the subject of grace.

This is basically the same teaching that he gives in the book of Galatians, but in Galatians,

it's like he just takes the gloves off and goes to beating these people with the word.

I mean, he's got an attitude.

He's mad saying, if anybody's preaching anything other than what I'm preaching,
