He's the former Chairman of the UK's Financial Services Authority now the chair of the Energy Transitions Commission, out with a new report

this morning called Better Energy, Greater Prospery, outlining how to have carbon emissions here by

the year 2040. Before we get to the substance of the report, there has

been so much of a conversation coming out of Washington about whether or not the

president will uphold his end of the Paris Climate Accord and his end of that

bargain in particular. What power does he have?

How important is it for the US to sort of stay with the promises its main?

Well, I think it would be very unfortunate if the US formally pulled out of the Paris Climate Accord. But what is clear across the world is there

is a determination from many other countries from China, the European Union, UK, many emerging economies that they're going to stick to the climate accord of Paris
