I'm John Batchez speaking with my colleague, Anatole-Levin-L Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft.

He directs the Eurasia Project at the Quincy Institute.

And I note that the Eurasia product includes a project includes Mr. Starrmer of Britain, Mr. Macron of France, Mr. Merritts of

Germany, Mr. Tusk of Poland, and all those leaders gathered in Warsaw for the night train

to Keefe, very romantic story, the only way in without use of the airport, and arrived to stand together with

Mr. Zelensky in a show of unanimity collectivity. Not necessarily NATO, not even EU. It's a

mixed here. You'd have to say these are those coalition of the willing to take the night train from

Warsaw. That's what we'll call them. All right. What is it that they want for the day after? I'm not

asking them for the table, but the day after. The promises of rebuilding Ukraine, those promises can be forgotten in future crises. So right now, Anatole,

how would you describe those men who travel to Ukraine? What is it that they can do for Ukraine?

What is it that they can guarantee, given that there are no certain pieces of paper

that pledge them more than rhetoric?

Well, I mean, some of them, I mean, the polls, it seems, and indeed, Bolts have said this

explicitly, simply want the war to go on because they believe, in my view, wrongly, that when the war is

over, Russia will concentrate for an attack on them. I don't think that's actually true.

And, of course, it's, to put it mildly, a little bit cynical to throw away more and more and more

Ukrainian lives for the sake of your own security.

But some of them undoubtedly do think that.

What the West Europeans want is by no means entirely clear because the peace conditions that they've

set forth and the European Union have set forth are
