Hello and welcome everybody to The Total Soccer Show.

My name is Taylor Rockwell, and on today's episode, we're not going to be talking

simultaneously about the two European Championship games that happened today, which did

happen simultaneously. We're going to break them apart and talk about them one by one that makes sense.

Turkey were not content with people being wrong about them as a pre-tournament Dark Horse favorite

and chose to help people be very wrong by losing 3-1 to the Swiss.

Meanwhile, Wales lost a man to a red card in the 55th minute, lost their game to Italy 1-0,

but still one second place in their group.

Joining me today to talk about both of those games and tomorrow's fixtures, our two gentlemen.

Up first is a man who spent most of both games today worrying about Scotland somehow.

It's Graham Ruffman. Hi, Graham.

Hi, Taylor. And that is absolutely 100% accurate.

In particular, the Switzerland and Turkey game I watched purely through the prism of Scotland.

And also, I must say, I'm watching these games through the prism of Scotland, knowing that we still have to actually score a goal and win a game.

But I'm choosing to be optimistic in believing that that can happen.

And also pessimistic at the same time in believing that if that does happen, we will go out in the most Scottish way possible

on four points, which was the target all along, but results elsewhere will inevitably go against

us. So that's where my headspace is right now. I appreciate the insight into the headspace.

Is it fair to say that

the Scottish perspective, generally speaking, is optimistic but pessimistic? Yeah, 100%. That sums us up

pretty well. I mean, I was saying to you before we started recording, there's a Scottish

newspaper, the Scotsman here, who have been tweeting out kind of what Scotland needs from every, we're obviously
