I read your book a year ago, and I said we have to do this at the beginning of Lent,

because when I read the book a year ago, I said,

this is the kind of a work that is, and we'll be talking about this, but it's a work of tremendous

scholarship, which I want to talk to you about. It's also shockingly readable. It's totally

readable, although it's brilliant scholarship, but it's also

a work of devotion. There is no question, I publicly identify as a Christian, and there's no question

that reading this book drew me closer to Jesus. I can't say that a lot about a lot of books.
