FCC chair Brendan Carr urges, quote, Western allies to pick Elon Musk's Starlink satellite internet company.

It goes on to say that you're either with us or against us when it comes to communications.

Judy and I are speaking on Starlink right now is very reliable here in rural America,

and it would be equally useful as a mobile technology as well.

Musk is well ahead of all the other intentions to put up constellations, but China intends

to go through.

There are other countries who are thinking about it, but this looks very much like a challenge

to Germany.

How has it heard, Judy, that we're saying you're either with us or against us?

Well, the person who first said this was a man called Yanos Khadar, the communist

party leader, who was put into power after the crushing of the Hungarian uprising by

Soviet tanks, and he gave this big speech, he was not against us, is with us. And so this kind

of phrase, I was quite shocked by actually reading it in today's

financial times. Now, Brendan Carr must know that Europe is not going to make this choice

between America and China unless, you know, Americans came up with a decent offer that wasn't ideological, especially

given Elon Musk's attitude towards Ukrainians and continue to provide a Starlink.

But this is an opportunity for the Europeans to speed up the EU-Tel satellites and the SES

one. And they have got the
