And that is that the European Union has finally done a trade deal with the United Kingdom.

Good morning, Mike. And can I just say your listeners won't see it, but I've had my haircut too. I see that. And it

looks rather splendid because I remember last time you and I spoke, you were moaning that you

couldn't get your haircut. And it is one of those things, isn't it? You forget. You just feel,

you feel a different person. I think anyone, you know, all your listeners know that. As soon as you get your haircut, you feel,

you sometimes feel younger as well. Do you feel a bit younger? Well, I do actually. Yeah. I'm always

slightly unsure because the one thing that I find every single time I get to get my haircut is the one

day that you're going to get your haircut, you look at it and you go actually I quite like this and then and then they cut it all off and you kind of go hmm but yeah I woke up this

morning I thought yeah it feels lighter as well yeah no it's nice it's a new day as they say

it is a new day and for all sorts of reasons as well let's talk about it i mean it was it was great to get that

finally through parliament i mean whatever our problems were with different bits of the trade

agreement and so on the european union were using the parliament delaying tactics as another way

of kind of getting at us and it did mean that I think the government had to be just that

little bit more careful over the last month or so what they were doing and what they were saying

you know the whole question of the protocol was was more difficult because they were concerned
