And now former Italian politician Pierre Panzeri has signed a memorandum with the Federal

Prosecutor to make substantial and revealing statements about the case.

It was charged last month with participating in a criminal organisation as a leader with money

laundering and active and passive corruption. Mr Panzeri may hope to reduce his sentence with

this move. Our correspondent in Brussels Jessica Parker told me more.

A very interesting set of announcements coming from Belgian prosecutors today.

So what they're saying is that Pierre Panzeri has signed a memorandum

and it's called a sort of repentance agreement.
