Hey everyone, this is Mary Demuth and this is Pray Every Day, where I pray through the Bible verse by verse.

So grateful to have you here. Today on the 17th day of September, I want to pray for someone who is battling cancer right now.

Lord Jesus, I'm thinking of someone in particular, a little child who is battling it very bravely and very beautifully.

And I pray for her and I pray for all of those who are battling this beast. I pray for strength

to endure chemo and radiation and any other treatments. I pray for an eradication of that cancer.

Another friend of mine who's battling it, I pray you would

deliver him from it and give him a long life, Lord. This is a beast. And Lord, I don't understand.

I know we live in a fallen world, but it's sometimes really hard to understand this terrible disease.

So, Lord, just be with my friends who are battling it right now

and hold them in Jesus' name. Amen. All right, today I'm reading from Esther chapter six

in the World English Bible and this is what it says. On that night, the king couldn't sleep. He

commanded the book of records of the chronicles to be brought and they were read to the king.

It was found written that Mordecai had told of Bikhthanna and Teresh, two of the king's eunuchs,

who were doorkeepers who had tried to lay hands on King Ahasaurus. The king said, what honor and

dignity has been given to Mordecai for this? Then the king's servants who attended him said nothing has been done for him.

The king said, who is in the court?

Now Haman had come into the outer court of the king's house to speak to the king about hanging

Mordecai on the platoes that he had prepared for him.

The king's servant said to him, behold, Haman stands at the court. The king said,

Let him come in. So Haman came in. The king said to him, what shall be done to the man whom the king

delights to honor? Now Haman said in his heart, who would the king delight to honor more than

myself? Haman said to the king, for the man whom the king delights to honor,
