Through the grace of God and because the program of our colleagues now in this works,

once I actually started working the steps, I've been sober since March 13th, 1990, I'm

just incredibly grateful for that.

I really appreciate Randy, I want to thank Randy, I want to thank the committee for

having me, I want to thank Mike for taping because that's just a tremendous service and

I want to make a point to thank him for that, but just by a short hands, how many people

grew up wishing that they would become an alcoholic, so they could get together with several

other hundreds of alcoholics to hear somebody give a talk at 930 on a Saturday morning.

Just by a short, I mean either, I'm going to try to explain to you at least how I got

here and hopefully how you can get something out of that.

What I'm going to do is explain a little bit about what I was like, what happened and what

happened and what I'm like now.

And I do that by working through some of my experiences with each of the steps because

it is the steps of our co-oxonomous that save my life.

So I'm going to start at step one, work through step 12, that'll keep me straight at where
