0:30.6	Through the grace of God and because the program of our colleagues now in this works,
0:35.5	once I actually started working the steps, I've been sober since March 13th, 1990, I'm
0:41.2	just incredibly grateful for that.
0:43.2	I really appreciate Randy, I want to thank Randy, I want to thank the committee for
0:49.4	having me, I want to thank Mike for taping because that's just a tremendous service and
0:54.3	I want to make a point to thank him for that, but just by a short hands, how many people
1:01.1	grew up wishing that they would become an alcoholic, so they could get together with several
1:08.3	other hundreds of alcoholics to hear somebody give a talk at 930 on a Saturday morning.
1:15.2	Just by a short, I mean either, I'm going to try to explain to you at least how I got
1:24.3	here and hopefully how you can get something out of that.
1:29.1	What I'm going to do is explain a little bit about what I was like, what happened and what
1:33.3	happened and what I'm like now.
1:36.4	And I do that by working through some of my experiences with each of the steps because
1:42.0	it is the steps of our co-oxonomous that save my life.
1:45.4	So I'm going to start at step one, work through step 12, that'll keep me straight at where
1:49.8	I'm at in my story and keep y'all straight about where I'm at in my story too.
