My story is July 31st, 2009, a home group is the tradition, I have a sponsor, a sponsor

Okay, so no idea what I'm going to talk about tonight.

So I am a Native Atlanta and I grew up in Gwinnett County.

And it's funny when I first got sober I was very into therapy and my traumatic childhood

and my alcoholic family and the enmeshment that my mother and I had and all of that.

And it's funny after getting sober and being in the rooms and especially being a fifth

tradition, I have realized that really none of that mattered.

None of that really had much of an impact on me at all as an alcoholic or really any

of my issues.

My primary issue is my self-centeredness and how self-absorbed I am.

It's funny I have one child and I'm thinking about maybe having another child and my child

is four and I was thinking about the effect of it on him and is he going to be feeling

eclected and if he can be jealous and all of this and I remembered what it was like

when I was nine and we had my little brother and I don't think that it ever occurred to

me that anyone was paying any less attention to me.
