Hi, everybody. I'm Mary Alcoholic. Welcome anybody who's new to Alcoholics Anonymous. Thank you

for inviting me. Thank you for your kindness. Especially thank

Mark for asking me to come up here and speak because he is one courageous guy. He did not

ask for a CD of mine or any background. He just called one day and I was about 5.30 in the afternoon.

I get a lot of calls and most of the calls I get are 0.098, 00921, Dubai,

Afghanistan, Iran, Europe, England, Italy.

I do a lot of workshops all over the world, but very seldom do I do an hour speaking.

And he asked me, I thought it was a telemarketer when I saw the, what is it, 206?

And I know it doesn't seem like it's a big job, but it is.

I became a speaker together for, it's a big job, but it is. I became a speaker-gather for a, we have a

seminar in Las Vegas on the Thanksgiving weekend every year. We've had it for 53 or 54 years,

and I had just become double-digit, and I joined the committee, and they put me in charge of getting speakers and I got I had a

2.30 on a Saturday afternoon and I got this guy and he showed up I went on pick them up and he asked

me for a can of a silly string and I thought it was odd silly string what the hell and I thought maybe

he's got family in Las Vegas.

He's going to go to a kid's party.

So I went to a party shop and I got him a kind of silly string. It comes Saturday afternoon. And if you're the speaker together, two scenarios is either right on maybe you did a good job or what the heck was that. you know and and and I of course, we have to sit in the back of the room

and listen to the speaker, and this guy starts talking, and he goes on and on and on about
