Summary

Marty M is known as the first woman in AA, she was from New York NY and is speaking at the Southern Conference in 1968. She got sober in 1939 and was was 29 years sober at the time of this speak, she died in 1980. I had to do a lot of processing on this one, I added a 2 second click track in the center where the tape must of been changed, but considering this was recorded in 1968 it is a remarkably good recording. 1:29.3	I have become Mrs. Marty and a public figure known to many people, particularly professional
1:35.2	people throughout this country, and I have remained Marty, the member they are.
1:42.6	And I have never forgotten, and I've played a god I never will, that Mrs.
1:48.8	Marty could not exist, or it not for Marty, the AA.
1:55.6	Obviously, I couldn't do the things I'd been doing if I were drinking.
2:02.0	Quite frankly, I think if I had continued drinking, I would not be on the surface of this
2:07.0	Earth, I don't know where I'd be, I'd probably be under it.
2:12.5	But it's far more than that.
