Good morning, my name's Edie and I'm an alcoholic.

I want to welcome all the new people who stood up and I want to welcome all the new people

who didn't stand up and if there's anybody out there, I'm so nervous.

My butt is in convulsion, so now I'm not a circuit speaker and I'm not a lawyer.

I always wanted to be a lawyer, I thought I'd make a good lawyer.

But I do want to welcome the new people and I want to let you know that you're the

lifeblood of this program and that if you knew what I hope is that you stay here.

And I want to thank the committee for inviting me.

I think they've done a great job and I've had a ball, really a good time.

I was a little nervous coming up here, but I'm 10 times nervous today than I was on Friday.

God, I can't believe this, but I wear loose pants, so it doesn't, it's in real obvious.

My friend Kurt gave me a note on it, it says, your name is Edie and you are an alcoholic.

So I was thinking this morning, I woke up with the pounding of the waves and I was thinking about how loud the waves were.

And I was thinking about the force of the storm and thinking, well maybe they'll cancel this meeting.

But we alcoholics, we don't do those sorts of things.

I'll get started here any minute, I want you to know that I'm not a circuit speaker.

So then there's no, I absolutely don't know what I'm going to tell you.
