I was just trying to remember the last time I was in this hotel and it was just a couple

of months after we were married and I think it was the Georgia prepaid convention and we

came over for one night and then went right back home again but I can't help but comparing

that time with this time and the wonderful thing about it is that that time I didn't

think it could get any better and I think that's what a lot of us feel when we come into

alcoholics anonymous and we start feeling better and things in our life start going well

and everything starts coming together and we get to a point where we don't think it

can get any better and for all of you who have been around for a few days or a few months

or a few years you all know as I do that it continues to get better and I still have

that tendency today to wonder how it can get better but I know that if I keep doing the

things that I've been told to do and I keep putting one foot in front of the other

and walking the walk of recovery in this program it's going to keep getting better for me
