Good morning, everyone.

My name is Don C.

I'm an alcoholic.

I'm also a member of the Mohican Nation, and I'm from the Coyote clan on my father's side

and I'm from the Turtle clan on my mother's side.

And in our culture, whenever you introduce yourself as to your identity, that people say,

who are you?

First I have to, I even had to say I'm an alcoholic in front of my tribe or my clan

so that I never get my priorities mixed up.

I must always remember that first.

And then I introduced myself to my clan and to my people.

And now, first I'd like to say it's really an honor to be in your country here. This is very

beautiful and we have been treated with dignity and respect from the moment we got off the airplane.

Mike was there and met us and it was really, really nice to be here.

Before I start though, in our way, whenever you speak, then in our culture, we pay a lot of importance to our elders.

And the elders, they always say, they would say, light some sage before you start.

Sage leaves it's from a plant.
