My name is Gunther B. I'm a grateful member of the Worldwide Fellowship of Alon,

and one day at a time, I've been working my program since april fourth nineteen eighty seven

now that reminds me of a story i heard from a friend

who said she was at her home group

sitting next to a newcomer

after the meeting the newcomer turned to her and asked

how long have you been coming to this meeting honey

she said oh twenty, 23 years.

A woman looked at her and said, well, honey, don't you get it?

And she looked back and said, well, no, but I leak a little.

And I think that's what I am.

I'm like an old tire.

I leak a little.

And I need to go back to my meetings on a regular basis

just to get filled up again with the recovery that Al-Anon has provided me. I want to thank,

first of all, the committee for asking me to be here, Don and everyone. I want to thank

Tim for being so grateful of picking me up at the airport,

Vic, for riding along with us, keeping us entertained, and for all of you to make me feel so at home

in the 36 hours I've been here.
