One of the questions I get asked all the time is,

is Stephen King really weird?

The question suggests that creating horrific art,

whether it's books, movies, or paintings,

means that the creator himself has to be a little off.

It's almost as bad a question as where do you get those weird ideas from?

The horror genre is something I've dedicated most of my life

too and one thing I've discovered about the people who create this stuff is that

they are some of the kindest most human most generous people I've ever met.

First of all we are by definition outsiders.

But most importantly, I think it's because we dream awake.

Our living is to exercise our fears and share them with you,

to safely journey into the darkest corners of your mind and safely
