For most people outside of France, Eric Zemore has probably only come to their attention in the last

month or two due to his pretty dramatic rise in the opinion polls, which has seen him seriously

challenge Marine Le Pen and the far-right National Rally, formerly the National Front,

and his declaration that he will be running for the presidency under the banner of reconquette,

or reconquest, the party founded on December 5th.
