I am so excited to have you here. I've got what I think is another really fun and worthwhile episode

here for you today with Flagstaff Ultra Runner, Eric Senceman. Eric and I have been loose friends,

I would say, for a few years now, but he is the type of

person who I always find myself following and always find myself rooting for as a fan of the sport.

It's probably because, as you'll hear, he and I have a ton in common in our backgrounds, and I think a similar approach to the great sport of trail and ultra running.

So this conversation was really fun.

It was wide ranging and deep at times.

We discussed Eric's recent marriage to his wife, Jackie.

We talked about the loss of his father in 2020 and how that impacted

him. And we talked about his progression as an athlete and the highs and lows that always come

along the way. Of course, we also talked about his recent second place finish at the Black Canyon

100K and look ahead to the fast approaching Western

States 100 coming up in June where Eric will line up for the third time alongside his friends

and training partners from the Coconino Cowboys among an incredibly deep field of talented competition.

So this is a packed episode.
