We've been talking for the last couple of weeks in this class about the effects of the American Revolution and kind of framing

that discussion around the question of how revolutionary was the American Revolution. What

kinds of changes did it initiate in American society, American law, American government?

Why should we think of the American Revolution as a revolution rather than simply a war for independence?

And so we talked about, we've talked about this in various frameworks.

We talked about whether the revolution altered the social structure of the states that were

involved in the revolution.

And the last time we met, we talked about the impact of the revolution on African Americans
