As a mom or dad, how do you explain to your child that giving is good?

That donating to people in need and great organizations creates a good change in them?

I'm John Fuller along with Danny Werther and instilling

that kind of understanding that knowledge in your children can be really

difficult. It is. It's really done by experience and it's about your kids giving of

their money that they've earned and early on kids don't have very many

opportunities to work hard to earn money to know the value of

money so part of that teaching is what is the value of money helping your

children understand that they're given everything as we talked about before then they don't know the value of

things and money but it's really helping a child understand that generosity has

been built in us as part of our faith and our connectedness with God.

God called us to be contributors and not consumers here.

And as contributors, we can give to others because it's not ours anyway and we can

teach that to our kids and for us parents it's that's a hard concept to grasp as well

and I think probably all of us if we're honest could grow in the area of

generosity with people we begin to question well if I you know that person is

doing that should I really give them this or if I give it to that organization are they going to use it this way or that way and we become critical of that the God called us to just be generous with what we have and to be good stewards of that and you know I would encourage parents to go on a on a research

of what generosity does to the brain and and talk it through with your kids you know what

does it actually do physiologically to us?
