It is the 100th episode of Depression Mode, 100 episodes in less than two years.

It's been a busy time.

So we thought it would be a good moment to take a brief pause, grab a breath, center ourselves, and reflect. When I talk to people about making

depression mode, there's often a question that I get asked, and it's a question that trips me up

every time. Who has been your favorite guest, people say? And it trips me up because I don't have one. I tend to just mumble something about,

oh, they're all pretty good, and then desperately attempt to change the subject. Because there

are so many to choose from, I can't narrow it down. It's like a hundred-way tie for my favorite.

Same thing happens when I'm asked what my favorite episodes have been.

I'll sometimes say, oh, well, the first one with Patton Oswald was good, and then all the rest of them were good, too.

Or I'll say whatever the most recent one was, because it's top of mind.

It's very, very hard for me to answer these questions.

But I do think a fair question is, what episodes, plural, have stayed with you the longest?
