Hey what's happened to Mike Schmidt 40 year old boy-old boy podcast. Here's my advice to you. Never let anybody

behind the curtain. Never let anybody see what you do or how you do it because inevitably they're not

going to be impressed by it. And they'll tell you they're impressed. They'll say over and over, oh, no,

this is awesome and hilarious. And then they'll yawn and look at their watch. And you're like, oh, my Christ, I'm going to run into a wall.

Why have I tormented this person?

Why have I dragged them into my nonsense?

It seems ridiculous, right?

Doesn't it seem foolish that you would expose your weaknesses to somebody as if they were

strengths in some way?

And they're like, Lord, why am I coddling this jerk? I'm not, and I am a jerk to be coddled, clearly.

If you've ever thought about a jerk to be coddled, please let me appear in your head.

This is my third attempt at recording this show.

I'm sure you don't want to hear that, but it's true.

The first one went eight minutes.

The next one went 14 minutes, so I have 22 minutes of audio.

Well, actually, I erased the first eight.

I should have kept that.
