Summary

"Luke Volume II," often called "The Acts of the Apostles," completes the "Pentateuch of the New Testament." The traditional title of this book is, in some respects, a misnomer: it primarily deals with the "acts" of Peter and Paul. It really should be called "The Acts of the Holy Spirit." This review will explore the continuing mysteries of Hag Shavuot in Acts 2; the surprises in the history lesson Stephen gives the Sanhedrin in Acts 7; the controversies dealt with in the Council of Jerusalem in Acts 15; the seamanship details which permitted the discovery of the anchors cut loose in Acts 27, as well as the adventures of Paul and his companions during his missionary journeys. 0:47.1	Jesus says, but ye, speaking to this apostles,
0:50.1	ye shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost has come upon you.
0:54.0	And ye shall be witnesses unto me both in four places.
0:58.0	In Jerusalem and in Al Jedea, which is the larger area of that area, and in Samaria,
1:06.0	which is further north, and then to the outermost parts of the earth.
1:09.4	I want you to notice there are these four
1:11.3	specific levels of reach, if you will. And that's exactly, that almost becomes an outline
1:18.7	a part of the book of Acts. Jerusalem and Judea, that's going to be Acts chapter 1 through
1:23.8	7 is going to focus on Jerusalem. Then we go to Samaria in chapter 8 through 12 with some surprises along the way.
1:32.7	And then we're going to go from there to the uttermost parts of the earth and continuing.
1:37.2	13 through 28 in Acts is the outermost parts of the earth.
1:40.3	But Revelation 2 and 3 gives us the span of the entire church age in advance
1:45.2	with a surprising amount of specificity.
1:48.9	So, Jesus, be my witness.
