Summary

Daniel had the most incredible career imaginable; he was transported as a teenage captive to a pagan empire and became the primary confidante to the ruler of Babylon. When Babylonia was taken over by its enemies, he rose to the second or third position in the Persian Empire. There are only two people in the Bible other than Jesus Christ of which no evil is spoken, Joseph and Daniel. The book of Daniel is in two halves: the first six chapters are historical, which deal with the adventures and career of this remarkable man. The second six chapters are some of the most pivotal and important prophecies of the entire Bible. Without a clear understanding of the book of Daniel you will not understand the times in which we live. This study contains 16 hours of verse by verse teachings. The last four verses of the chapter are the fabled 70-week prophecies.

Now just to give you a context here a little bit, you realize Daniel's 12 chapters, the first six are historical,

where he's deported, he encounters Nebuchadnezzar and interprets his dream and his rivals, he gets promoted

as a result of that performance.

1:31.8

His rivals get a chance to try to undo his three friends, the Fiery Furnace episode.

Nebuchadnezzarer, the king of the world at that time, writes a chapter in the book in which

he recounts his lesson

and pride that God gave him. Very interesting a chapter. But then of course the fall of

Babylon. We spent two sessions on that because Babylon is not only important historically

from a biblical perspective point of view, but it's going to be one, I believe, one of the major

prophetic milestones that's emerging on the horizon.
