Summary

"Luke Volume II," often called "The Acts of the Apostles," completes the "Pentateuch of the New Testament." The traditional title of this book is, in some respects, a misnomer: it primarily deals with the "acts" of Peter and Paul. It really should be called "The Acts of the Holy Spirit." This review will explore the continuing mysteries of Hag Shavuot in Acts 2; the surprises in the history lesson Stephen gives the Sanhedrin in Acts 7; the controversies dealt with in the Council of Jerusalem in Acts 15; the seamanship details which permitted the discovery of the anchors cut loose in Acts 27, as well as the adventures of Paul and his companions during his missionary journeys. 1:12.4	the Old Testament. The Holy Spirit is very busy. However, Jesus does note that the Holy Spirit is sent in a
1:18.2	very special and unique way to the church. One of the things that Paul's letters try to get across,
1:25.9	and we sometimes don't understand them because we don't
1:28.6	understand the answer because we don't really understand the question.
1:31.3	Part of what Paul is trying to get across to us is the uniqueness of privilege we have in the
1:36.6	church that is unique to the church period.
1:39.4	It'll start in Acts chapter 2 and it finishes at the rapture, that is, is indwelling in the
