Music Well, we're going to embark on a study and exploration of the enigma of the Edomites.

And, you know, it's interesting, most of you know that it's

been a trademark of ours for four decades to use Acts 1711, which says that you should be

like the Bereans, in that they receive the word of God with all openness of mind, yet they

search the scriptures daily to prove whether

those things be so.

And I've always thought that the search of the scriptures was the difficult part, and I've

discovered in recent years, no, the difficult part is to have a readiness of mind.

One of the challenges that will be before us is to try to set aside our presuppositions

and really hear what the text as a whole is telling us.

Well, whenever we enter the Word of God, we always want to do that with a word of prayer, so let's bow our hearts.

Father, we thank you for this opportunity to explore your Word.

We pray, Father, that through your Holy Spirit

you would open our hearts and lives to your word that we each might grow in grace and the

knowledge of our coming king, in whose name we commit this time and ourselves. Amen. So we're going

to explore the enigma of the Edomites. And our agenda is going to be
