In today's study, Chuck continues his teaching on the Book of Daniel.

Chapter 10. And behold, a hand touched me, which set me upon my knees and upon the palms of my hands.

And he said on me, oh, Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak unto thee, and stand upright.

For unto thee am I now sent.

And when he had spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling.

So he's off his hands and knees.

He's now standing, but very apprehensive.

And before I go further, I like to comment on this frequent phrase about Daniel. We've encountered it before in the book, and that's that he's called the man greatly beloved.

That's a distinctive.

It's interesting to me that Abraham was called a friend of God.

It's one of his titles and one of the emblems of being a friend of God was God disclosed to him what he's about to do in Genesis 18,

what was coming in Genesis 19 and so forth.

And Jesus does the same thing to his disciples in the upper room, John 14 and following.

He said, up until now you've been my servants, for henceforth, you are my friends. And then he goes on to give, I go and prepare a place for you, and he tells him what he's going to do.

He gives him a glimpse into the future. That's sort of the gift of a friend. When you have

the concept of being beloved, that's far more than just a friend. To be beloved is more than

just a friend. It's, you know, a friend squared. It's a decimal points moved over. It's
