Verse 20, for the terrible one is brought to nothing, and the scoffer is consumed,

and all that watch for iniquity are cut off.

Therefore, thus saith the Lord who redeemed Abraham,

Now in chapter 30 we shift gears again.

Isaiah is now going to focus again more locally.

He's going to focus on this nonsense of making an alliance with Egypt in the response to the fears of Assyria.

Isaiah's message to Hezekiahs don't look to Egypt as an ally against Assyria, look to the God of hosts.

The God of Israel is going to take care of the Assyrians.

And Hezekiah has his knees a little wobble here.
