Hey, what's happened to Mike Schmidt's 40-year-old boy podcast? I must admit I'm a little thrown off right now because, you know, I came home from doing the show last week in Chicago.

If you haven't heard last week's episode, tune in. It was a three-hour extravaganza,

and it was on location in Chicago at David Hernandez's Mexie Park. I think we're going to call it these days.

That's what he's dubbed it. It used to be the cat house. It used to be in a basement.

Now it's Mexie Park. It's in the loft. You know why? Because Mexie Jefferson is moving

on up to the north side, straight up to the Deluxe apartment in the fucking sky, baby.

So here's the deal, man. I am a little thrown because I came here and then I've set up my, you know, I recorded in my house.

I'm back in California.

And it is very hot in California.

And you can probably hear the humming ceiling fan above me because I couldn't bear to record without it because I'd be sweating like a motherfucker.

Not that I won't be anyway because, folks, I work hard for you.
