And this week, I'm examining King's collection of short stories the twisted and terrifying Everything's Eventual.

As you know from previous episodes, King has published a book of short stories every decade,

starting with 1978's Nightshift, 1985's Skeleton Crew,

and here he continues his tradition with Everything's

eventual. As a disclaimer, I want to note that Everything's Eventual came out during a low point

of my Stephen King fandom. I had been disappointed with from a Buick 8 and Dream Catcher,

and the heydays of my Stephen King enthusiasm had long since waned. So I don't have

many memories of reading everything's eventual. I didn't have the anticipation I had felt

almost a decade before with the release of his previous short story collection, nightmares and dreamscapes.

And I wanted this publication to get out of the way so we could get to the last three books of the dark tower.

I wanted conclusion. I didn't want these stinking short stories.

I say this because I wasn't in the right mind to enjoy what King had given, so I was very excited to return to everything's eventual to see what I had missed the first time around.
