Hello everyone, and welcome to the Stephen King cast,

One Man's Musings on The Works of Stephen King.

Each week, I'll review one entry in the bibliography of Stephen King

and the chronological order of publication, and this week week I'm reviewing a novel that when I had originally sat down thinking about creating a Stephen King filled podcast. This book gave me pause. In my review of Dreamcatcher, I mentioned that there were a couple books that I did not

look forward to rereading, and this one sat at the top of the list. I remember getting it for

Christmas. I still remember the feeling of a new Stephen King book all wrapped up underneath

the Christmas tree. A perfect present from Santa Claus to me.

You know, not in school at the time, on school vacation, no responsibilities, no plans,

nothing to do, just opportunity to just sit around under the Christmas lights, staying warm, drinking tea or hot chocolate,

feeling just full from eating a Christmas dinner,

maybe going out and using some of the gift cards

that I had gotten if I get bored from not doing anything

and just enjoying life, right?

And reading this new Stephen King book, what could go wrong?

The result is that my Christmas experience was all about reading a ponderous, meandering, and sad to say,

boring novel about a killer car.

But a killer car that never does anything.

The book itself is a huge... What?

I mean, he'd already written his book about a killer car.
